Intro
Begin where you are – steady breath, clear guidance, and a simple path into weekly practice and mentoring.

Weekly Practice Flow

  • Duration: 30–75 minutes.
  • Structure: Centering → Warm‑up → Key techniques (āsana, bandha, kumbhaka, kriyā) → Integration/rest.
  • Language & Adaptations: Teaching in English with Sanskrit terms. Variations offered for differing levels; pause or modify as needed.
  • Questions: Brief Q&A may follow practice; deeper topics fit best in mentoring.

How to Begin

  • Step 1: Join a Weekly Class.
  • Step 2: Keep a brief practice journal.
  • Step 3: Book a Mentoring Session to review notes and set a personalized plan.

Prerequisites

  • Attitude & Health: A curious mind; willingness to observe and learn. Practice within capacity. If you have medical conditions (cardiac, respiratory, musculoskeletal, neurological), consult your physician and inform us before class.
  • Space & Preparation: Quiet, ventilated area; room to lie down and stretch. Avoid heavy meals 2–3 hours before practice; You can sip water lightly during practices, except during prāṇāyāma. Join on time; sessions follow traditional terminology and timing.
  • Devices & Respect: Stable internet; camera optional but if we don’t see you it would be very difficult for us to make corrections and follow your process; headphones can be useful. Keep chat focused; questions welcome in Q&A or mentoring.

Mentoring

  • What Mentoring Offers: Focused, individualized support to deepen your learning and understanding. Assessment of aims and health considerations; personalized sequence and breath ratios; checkpoints for progress.
  • How It Works: Refinement of technique (kriyā, bandha, kumbhaka, alignment). Integration of lifestyle, rest, and study; gentle accountability to sustain rhythm.

Who Mentoring Serves

  • New Practitioners: Safe foundations, steady breath awareness.
  • Continuing Students: Clarify technique, create new routines, refine focus.
  • Teachers‑in‑Training: Align personal practice with pedagogy and terminology.
  • Returning After Injury/Illness: Adapt safely to re‑enter consistent practice.

Recording Policy

  • Privacy & Camera Use: Camera optional. You may keep video off or frame yourself to your comfort. Your privacy is central; we minimize recording and foreground consent.
  • When We Record: Live classes are generally not recorded for distribution. Occasionally, a portion may be recorded for teacher training or skill refinement. If recording occurs, you’ll be notified in advance; a visible indicator remains on throughout.
  • Consent & Access: Explicit consent is requested if participants may appear in any sharable material. Any shared recordings (rare) are time‑limited and restricted to registered students. You can opt out of appearing by keeping your camera off or adjusting framing; inform us if you wish to be excluded from sharable clips.
  • Data Handling: Recordings, when made, are stored securely and retained only as needed for educational purposes. We do not sell or share participant data. Contact us to request removal of identifiable segments where feasible.

Preparation Checklist

  • Clear space; mat, blanket.
  • Light stomach; comfortable clothing.
  • Journal ready; device charged; stable internet.
  • One‑line Saṅkalpa / intention for today’s practice.

Notes on Safety
Practice is non‑competitive. Pain, breath strain, or dizziness are signals to stop, rest, or modify. Inform us of injuries or conditions before class. Your well‑being guides the work.
