Roberto’s Bio
Spanish; Yoga Teacher focusing on Sivananda Yoga, Aided Hatha with Props, Traditional Yoga; Founder of Kulavidyā
It was 2015 when Roberto decided to move from fear to freedom, and India was ready to welcome him. He learned that the practice of yoga moves you from the comfortable to the uncomfortable and vice versa. For him, this was a beautiful metaphor of life and an invitation to surrender fully to the journey of yoga.
Roberto became a teacher focusing on traditional yoga, philosophy and yoga therapy. In over 700 hours of training he studied – among others – with master Swami Sajeevan Arakkal Manoharan at the Sivananda Center in Kerala, with Sri B.N.S. Iyengar in the tradition of Krichnamacharya in Mysore, with Sharat Arora in Dharamshala and with Prof. R.S. Bhogal at the renowned Kaivalyadham Institute in Lonavla, India.
Despite the many hours of training Roberto has attended, he believes that the true understanding of yoga comes through the own practice and experience. For him, yoga can be understood as a toolkit for managing life in all its aspects.
Roberto’s aim with sharing yoga is to make it accessible to everyone. In his classes he guides his students to align the body with care, so eventually they become focused and are able to remain in one place for some time, expanding the breath and surrendering to the experience of yoga.
